Below shows the parents of the litter that is born. A lot of our weimaraner litters are blended with a longhair and a short hair. This is excellent for the health and the blood line of the weimaraner. Longhair weimaraners are not that well known. So by blending the two you increase the pedigree of the blood lines. The longhair weimaraner is also known to have a much mellower disposition then the short hair. More like a bench dog ( Golden Retriever ). So in the end you get the same short hair weimaraner you are looking for but with better results. Along with the blending of the weimaraners the only way to produce longhairs is that both parents have to carry the longhair gene. Otherwise they will produce a all short hair litter.
All of our puppies are very well socialized with our children. At the age of two weeks we start our de-worming process and by the time they are picked up they have been de-wormed several times and have had their first and second shot. With our weimaraners, we have their tails docked and their dew claws removed at the age of 3 days. The labs would be the same with their dew claws. Puppies can leave as early 7 weeks old if they are ready. To see or pick out a puppy, the puppies have to be at least 4-5 weeks old. If we have to ship them they have to be at least 8 weeks old.
